Characteristics of a Successful Student
There are certain students who are more likely to thrive in a school like The Bessemer Classical School. Below we have listed some of the characteristics that help to ensure students have the best opportunities to succeed here. A successful student has the following:
- A parent or guardian with an understanding that quality education is essential for success and who are involved in helping the student by checking homework, making sure all homework is taken home, staying in contact with the teacher, regularly quizzing the student and reading with them.
- A sense of respect for elders. They do not make a habit of talking back to their parents, or of acting as though they are an equal to adults. They are willing to listen, obey and learn.
- An understanding that hard work is necessary and is willing to give solid effort.
