Volunteer
We believe that a student's self-esteem is enhanced by positive relationships with supportive adults. Becoming a volunteer is a fabulous way to make a difference in a child's life. Our volunteers play a vital role in our school. They are seen as role models and spiritual mentors. The school needs committed volunteers in the following areas.
Literature and Reading Intervention Tutoring: Monday – Friday, 12 – 2. Tutor students in reading and comprehension. (Training provided).
After School Tutoring: Monday- Friday 2:30 – 4:00. Tutor students in different subjects and help them with homework assignment. Minimum time commitment is 45 minutes every other week. (Training provided).
Heavenly Helpings Helpers: Weekends, Once a month. Help our committed cooks to prepare and assemble our Heavenly Helping meals. Whether you are able to commit 30 minutes or 4 hours, any help is welcome and needed. Meals are assembled at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Scholarship Team Leaders (STL). These leaders commit to raising money for full or partial scholarships through their own community of neighbors, colleagues, friends and family. Scholarship Team Leaders can raise money by sending a mailing, hosting a party, running a race or any other fundraising activity approved the TBCS’s development office.
Administrative Task Volunteers: Flexible schedule. The school needs help in the administrative office inputting data and filing.
Special Project Volunteers: We also have volunteer opportunities for special projects and events such as a clean-up service day, holiday celebrations, lunch and learns and more.
