Welcome!

      As head master of The Bessemer Classical School I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in learning more about our school.  The school is brand new to the urban ministry scene (just opening in August 2007), and we are very excited by what God is already doing through us. 

    The mission of The Bessemer Classical School is to provide children in the Bessemer area, who ordinarily would be precluded by finances, with a first-class Christian based education, training in a biblical worldview and an opportunity for saving faith in Jesus Christ.  We minister to them by providing substantial tuition scholarships funded by caring individuals and organizations, as well as through:   

• A nurturing after-care program

• Uniforms

• Curricular needs

• Religious and moral training that cannot or will not be taught in other schools.

   The School utilizes the Trivium to teach students not only facts that they will need to know, but how to learn. This will allow the students greater future success, as they learn how to approach subjects in a way that promotes mastery.

  While The Bessemer Classical School offers one of the finest educations available, it is the goal of the school that God be ultimately glorified and students and their families obtain eternal life through Jesus Christ.
